A few years after the first version of this site went up, I have rebuilt it from scratch.

The old site ran on WordPress, with a portfolio plugin and a theme that grew organically over time. It worked, but every change felt heavier than it should. Writing a blog post meant logging into a dashboard; updating the resume meant fighting a page builder; loading any page meant shipping a few hundred kilobytes of CSS and JavaScript that I did not actually need.

This new version is built with Astro, styled with Tailwind, and serves static HTML. The pages are small, the build is fast, and the source lives in a folder I can put on a shelf.

The plan for the blog is simple: occasional notes about stress analysis, FEA correlations, fatigue, and the parts of aerospace engineering that I find interesting enough to write down.
